Roxanne Faber Savage
Monoprint, 22" x 30"
2007

Roxanne Faber Savage, studied drawing at BU and received her BFA from Pratt, and an MS from Queens College. Roxanne is an artist, printmaker, and teacher; by her own admonition, “fascinated by the sky”. “The sky is my connection to birds, moons, heavens constellations… these universal images carry spiritual and personal meanings for me. I specialize in a process called Paper Lithography. I work with the idea of letting the process happen and follow its path.”

Faber-Savage, a resident of Fairfield, CT, is a master teaching artist on the roster of the CT Commission on Culture & Tourism, and prints at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT. Her work is in national and international corporate and private collections. Her current exhibit at WAA is part of her ongoing and frequent exhibition throughout the Northeast.

Greta Waller is fresh from The Cooper Union with a BFA, with stints at Pratt, The Chelsea School of Art in London and The NY Academy of Art. Greta, by her own admission, seeks to create paintings that may be understood by all viewers. A recent ‘artist in residence' at ‘The Pink House-Art at the Bridge, Mansion', in West Cornwall, CT, gave her the material she needed for a 2007 show at Umbrella Arts in NYC. In an interview by BeDe Murphy about her tenure in the country, Waller confided, “I would like people to know that realistic painting is not historical painting. Painting has become a message to myself, confirming my existence and my reality.”
