Application Procedures for the Young Talent Show
The Young Talent exhibtion is held annually in January.
To be eligible to apply, artists must be 30 years old or younger as of January 1st
on the year of the exhibit applied for, AND, must no longer be students at the
time of application or exhibition.
Artists must submit 10 - 20 slides of current work in any media, a resume including
date of birth, an artist’s statement, and a SASE for return of slides.  Deadline
for entries to be considered for this show is October 1, of the year prior
to the January exhibition date.
If your work is accepted for exhibition, the Washington Art
Association will send you a complete list of guidelines outlining
artists’ responsibilities for the exhibit. The following includes
some information from that list:
- The Washington Art Association will deduct and retain a commission
of 30% on all sales made or contracted for during the show.
- Exhibitors shall provide their own announcement and exhibition lists.
(We encourage artists exhibiting at the same time to share their announcement.) 
Publicity must be checked with the show chairman or administrator before it is
printed or sent to the media.
- Hanging is subject to recommendation of the Exhibition Committee. A show chairperson will be assigned to each exhibition and will be available to assist the artists and answer any questions.
- Work will be insured while on exhibition at the gallery. At the end of
a show the Association will take every possible care in handling
work, but shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to work
not picked up promptly.  There will be a storage charge for work left at
the gallery after a show ends.
